Cath is an Australian Speech Pathologist, based in Melbourne, and the founder of Bay Speech Clinic. She has worked in speech pathology private practice for more than 20 years, with special interests in stuttering, speech and literacy difficulties. She is committed to providing evidence-based therapies for all ages, staying up to date with the latest research to ensure the highest quality care.

Her key priority is to deliver family-centred, engaging, enjoyable therapy, which helps clients meet their communication goals in speaking, reading or writing.

For stuttering therapy, she is trained in Lidcombe Program, Camperdown Program, Westmead and Oakville Programs (Syllable Timed Speech), as well as ReSTART-DCM. She also incorporates cognitive approaches to address the common anxiety and avoidance behaviours related to stuttering. For literacy difficulties, she is a trained Sounds-Write practitioner (structured synthetic phonics), and incorporates other programs such as Talk for Writing and The Writing Revolution strategies in her individualised therapy plans.

For many years, Cath has also enjoyed teaching speech pathology students and leading the nationwide stuttering disorders unit at The Australian Catholic University. She is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist, as recognised by Speech Pathology Australia, and a member of multiple professional development groups.
